Job Summary: Responsible for supporting production test rack personnel and equipment, engineering in new product testing and construction, supporting Electrical BOM, SPAs, and Engineering with Order Entries.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the first response for Product Management & Electrical/Controls Teams on all Production Support calls.
  2. Work closely with all engineering teams to provide support skills such as prototype build (Test Fixtures or Electrical Panels, etc.) and modifications as required.
  3. Perform software updates and upgrades on preexisting controls and programs around the facility.
  4. Provide technical controls support to Engineering Product Management and R&D teams.
  5. Maintain tables and documentation for product details, including bill of materials, piping, and electrical information.
  6. Provide Engineering Applications support.
  7. Support Warranty and After-Market Sales activities.
  8. Collaborate with outside vendors for new/replacement components.
  9. Read and review electrical diagrams.
  10. Evaluate, test, and modify unit components.
  11. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  12. Communicate new product information and IOM/Service Manual updates to all necessary departments.
  13. Maintain and build professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, or professional societies.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC-related industry, with electrical control/electronic focus.
  • Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective speaking skills before groups.
  • Basic algebra and geometry application skills.
  • Ability to calculate Enthalpy, Humidity, Wet Bulb, and Dry Bulb using psychometrics.
  • Ability to calculate Superheat and Subcooling readings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of AAON Computer programs, Prism II, and EOL Tester.
  • Experience with digital voltmeters, HVAC manifold gauges, and temperature sensors.
  • Knowledge of soldering and desoldering stations.
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Teamwork and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
Work Environment:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95% of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to manufacturing facilities with seasonal temperature variations, dust, and chemical fumes.
