Our Office of Racing contributes to the growth and sustainability of the Queensland racing industry through oversight of Racing Queensland. By joining the Queensland public sector, you will contribute to better outcomes for Queenslanders by implementing the policies, priorities, services, or programs of the elected government.

Our team - Infrastructure and Precincts - focuses on providing regionally significant venues that are fully accessible and inclusive, aiming to influence and inspire active experiences for Queenslanders. We offer a diverse range of tailored products and services catering to individuals at every level of participation. We are committed to leading and supporting industry through exemplary venue management practices and partnerships.

Our focus includes ensuring the responsible and safe delivery of venue operations to guarantee quality experiences. We also handle strategic projects, performance monitoring, capital works, business development, planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.

To be eligible for this role, you must possess:

  • Citizenship/Visa: You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. Evidence of your residency status or visa, including any conditions or restrictions, must be provided. You are required to notify the department if your right to work in Australia ceases.
  • Licences: A current driver's licence is required as the role involves travel to various locations. A copy of your licence must be provided prior to engagement.
  • Qualifications: A current First Aid and CPR certificate is required, with copies provided prior to engagement. Formal qualifications in outdoor recreation are not mandatory but are highly regarded. For overseas qualifications, a certified copy of official recognition must be attached.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card): As the role involves working with children and young people, a valid Blue Card must be held and validated prior to engagement. A copy must be provided.
