Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Confluent Kafka Engineer to join our growing integration practice in Australia. The role is Melbourne based, and in this role you will design, develop and implement robust and scalable EDA based solutions for our customers. Deep knowledge of Confluent platform is a must for this role to draw upon your expertise and deliver Confluent platform and solutions implemented for our customers on greenfield and brownfield IT projects.

  1. Design, deploy Confluent Kafka clusters on on-prem, cloud or hybrid environments
  2. Deliver Confluent Kafka platform architecture and perform capacity planning
  3. Design and implement high performance and scalable solutions with security best practices
  4. Design and implement Kafka streams applications
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into solutions
  6. Work closely with other team members, to lead and guide them often
Let's talk about your qualifications and experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
  2. 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing solutions
  3. 2+ years in Confluent Kafka with relevant references
  4. Experience with integrating Kafka Confluent with various data sources, databases, messaging queues, cloud data stores, integration, and API platforms
  5. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services and integration design patterns
  6. Excellent communication skills
