We're growing and expanding our reach across major water and defence infrastructure programs—and we're looking for experienced Design Managers to join our Adelaide-based team.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering critical water and defence infrastructure—think wastewater systems, treatment plants, desalination, chemical dosing, hydrogen solutions, and Defence infrastructure.

You'll be involved from early concept through to detailed design, bringing together multidisciplinary teams and engaging closely with clients to ensure quality, cost, and schedule are all aligned. You'll help create solutions that are innovative, sustainable, and beneficial for to come.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design delivery across multiple projects and programs with a focus on collaboration, quality, and outcomes.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and shared goals.

  • Drive early-stage design work across engineering, environmental, sustainability, and safety disciplines.

  • Mentor, guide, and empower a team of professionals to grow and succeed in a supportive environment.

  • Use data and forecasting tools to support decisions around cost, schedule, and risk.

  • Ensure high performance and a positive team culture through strong leadership and project oversight.

What You'll Bring:

  • A relevant engineering or technical degree (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in infrastructure design—especially within water or defence sectors.

  • Strong leadership qualities and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated capability in project management, including cost, scheduling, and change control.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian Permanent or Citizenship.

  • Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance is highly regarded.
