Home Care Worker / Support Worker (No night shift)

Provide caring, compassionate, respectful, and high-quality holistic care in Aged, Disability, and Mental Health settings.

Right At Home Adelaide Central is currently seeking compassionate Care Workers or Support Workers residing in Adelaide to provide high-quality holistic care to Aged Care and Disability clients in their homes. This role includes assisting clients with tasks they are no longer able to do independently, both at home and in the community. Our priority is to help clients live empowered and independent lives with integrity and purpose.

A successful candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Ability to provide personal and domestic care
  • A passion for respectfully empowering and caring for people in a community setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Willingness to participate in further education opportunities

About your role as a Support/Personal Care Worker:

  • You will be a valued team member providing services tailored to clients' individual needs in their homes and communities
  • Clients are primarily based in the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs
  • Paid casual hours, kilometres, superannuation, and attractive hourly rates

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Domestic assistance including cleaning
  • Meal preparation
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Respite care
  • Transport to appointments, shopping, and social activities

Schedule:

  • Day shifts
  • Morning shifts
  • Afternoon shifts (finishing by 9:00 PM)

Requirements:

  • Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting
  • Australian work authorization

Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Aged and Disability
  • Satisfactory Australian National Police check
  • Current or willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Driver's license and own reliable, presentable vehicle
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
