We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive team environment. We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer, ready to make a positive impact from day 1. This is a 6-month maximum term contract (parental leave) based in our North Sydney office. This role is ideal for a candidate looking for a contract that begins mid-September.

So, what's the job?

The Senior QA Engineer ensures the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable digital products that power Freely's travel insurance ecosystem.

  • You'll design, execute, and maintain test cases for web and mobile applications across various devices and platforms
  • You'll provide support for production releases, including smoke tests and post-release validation
  • You'll validate backend APIs and data integrity, especially integrations with Zurich Cover-More systems
  • You'll work with the engineering team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • You'll participate in root cause analysis and contribute to defect prevention strategies

And what are we looking for?

To be successful in this role -
  • You'll have a minimum of 3+ years of experience testing web and mobile applications
  • You'll be proficient in writing and executing test cases, both manual and automated (essential)
  • You'll have experience with tools like Cypress (essential), Appium, JIRA, Confluence, Xray, and TestFlight
  • You'll have knowledge of iOS, Android, and web application behaviours
  • You'll have strong communication skills and the ability to work alongside a small team and stakeholders
