Senior Category Specialist

Are you a seasoned professional with expertise in Voltage Control, Reactive Power Management, and Power Quality Systems? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Category Specialist to lead and implement category strategies for critical materials and equipment, ensuring optimal sourcing and servicing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, standardize, and maintain strategies for voltage control and power quality.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, OEMs, and external consultants.
• Lead the planning, procurement, and execution of voltage control and reactive power systems.
• Mitigate risks and manage solutions for voltage instability, including low-frequency oscillations between reactive power systems and inverter-based generators.
• Oversee equipment design, factory testing, site energization, and network performance testing.
• Participate in network planning and modeling workshops, providing expert guidance on equipment sizing and performance.
• Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams, optimizing sourcing strategies and supplier performance.
• Manage vendor approvals, factory audits, and contractual obligations to ensure project success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in the electricity supply industry, particularly with complex Voltage Control and Reactive Power Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV substation design and related equipment (e.g., transformers, circuit breakers, capacitor banks).
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, from design through commissioning.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
