Part-time Small Animal Vet - Cedar Veterinary Group, Ringwood. Salary up to £60k FTE DOE.

About Cedar Veterinary Group

Cedar Veterinary Group are a fun, friendly and thoughtful veterinary team looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with over 2 years experience to come and join us. Based in leafy Hampshire, with both the New Forest & Jurassic Coast on our doorstep, we are a 2 site veterinary group, including a veterinary hospital and we have our own dedicated out of hours team working nights and contributing to the weekend rota with our day team. We are a dedicated team of 8.5 FTE Vets (including a vet with an Opthalmology Cert), 7 FTE RVNs (HVN has diploma in surgical nursing & ISFM cert in feline nursing), 1 trainee nurse & 2 PCAs, alongside our amazing team of support staff. We also have a visiting cardiologist & surgeon who join our practice every 2 weeks. We are an RCVS accredited hospital with outstanding client service accreditation and ISFM gold standard.

Our recent Vet locum said that the staff are fantastic and the team is brilliant.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care for small animals in a dedicated hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with our team, including a visiting cardiologist and surgeon, to deliver comprehensive veterinary services.
  • Contribute to the weekend rota and out-of-hours coverage as part of a small team with flexible scheduling where possible.
  • Utilise the clinic's equipment, including ultrasound, dental x-ray, video gastroscope, bronchoscope, ECG, in-house laboratory and multimodal monitoring.
Qualifications
  • Over 2 years of experience as a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon.
Hours and location

We are ideally looking for someone who can do 30 hours a week, potentially covering some weekend day shifts, but we can be flexible on hours — just let us know what works for you.
