The Opportunity

Ampcontrol is on the lookout for a skilled Cable Repairer to join our Thornton operations on a full-time basis. If you're experienced in cable repairs and ready to take on a new challenge, this is your chance to make a real impact in a critical industry.

Our Cable Services team plays a vital role in supporting the mining, industrial, and commercial sectors ensuring reliable, safe electrical infrastructure that keeps operations running smoothly and workers protected.

What You'll Do

As a Cable Repairer, you'll carry out testing, repair, and fitting of accessories on various electric cables. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Repairing reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
  • Testing for faults and verifying repairs
  • Inspecting and fitting plugs/couplers
  • Ensuring all work complies with required standards
  • Supporting general workshop operations as needed

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a hands-on individual with:

  • A strong commitment to safety
  • The ability to work independently and be on-call
  • Excellent attention to detail and hand tool skills
  • Forklift ticket – desirable
  • HR licence – desirable
