We are seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Newton Moore Senior High School (SHS) provides students from Year 7 to 12 with a personalised educational experience. The school, at the heart of South Bunbury, has a strong sense of community and celebrates the strengths of students through a variety of innovative programs.

The Role

We are seeking passionate and adaptable educators who are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students. Ideal applicants will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, work collaboratively within a team, and be comfortable teaching across multiple learning areas or taking on a pastoral care role as needed.

Suitable candidates will use an educative approach to support positive student behaviour, ideally familiar with Positive Behaviour processes, and show a clear commitment to inclusive education. They should also be dedicated to working in a culturally inclusive environment and actively seek opportunities to grow their own knowledge and professional practice in support of the school's vision and priorities. A displayed commitment to the use of restorative practices and to plan for improved student outcomes is highly regarded.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
