The Team :
Allied Health Services provides clinical services across ten disciplines and supports Allied Health professionals throughout Hospitals South. Led by the Executive Director of Allied Health, the team collaborates with nursing, medical, and support staff to deliver healthcare excellence and improve health outcomes for the Tasmanian community.
The Role :
This Allied Health Lead role connects Allied Health Services with the Surgical and Perioperative Services stream. The role acts as a communication and coordination point for Allied Health staff within the stream, engaging with stream leadership to promote an interdisciplinary approach to care. The role ensures Allied Health integration in decision-making, drives innovation and improvements, and collaborates with other Allied Health Leads across clinical streams.
You will need :
- Extensive clinical expertise in acute, community, or rehabilitation hospital settings, with demonstrated experience and knowledge of clinical services and contemporary Allied Health models in tertiary hospitals.
- Leadership skills to oversee Allied Health staff in clinical streams and engage effectively with stream and organizational leaders.
- Thorough knowledge of Hospitals South, Allied Health Services, clinical stream priorities, governance structures, and understanding of external and internal drivers for organizational change.

Details of appointment :
Permanent full-time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable.
Note: The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the publication date.Salary : $123,717 to $134,336 per annum, with an additional 12% superannuation contribution.
Salary is aligned with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.Allowances :
Access to salaries beyond $130,900 requires qualifications or application to the personal upgrade scheme.Additional allowances based on salary increments may include :

Eligibility :

- Satisfactory completion of an accredited allied health professional course and registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional body.
- Current registration/licenses required for the role must be maintained and updated as necessary.

- Relevant postgraduate qualification.
