Cyber Security Analyst – ASAP Start

• Immediate Start 2x12 months Extension options

• Location – ACT - Hybrid

• Australian Citizens with Baseline Security Clearance

Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is an ASAP start with 2x12 months further options to extend based on funding and approval.

About the Role:
In this role, you will assist in the planning, implementation and assessment of departmental systems to meet cyber security requirements. You must have experience in the delivery of cyber security risk management and analyst services on-premise and cloud-based services and their associated security challenges. You must have experience in some of the following:

• Aligning security expectations with the ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, and other industry best practices.

• Supporting IRAP preparation activities and ensuring accurate documentation.

• Assisting in the management and implementation of IT security strategies.

• Managing cyber risk to support secure departmental systems and services.

• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with Australian Government Security Standards.

• Contributing to the planned migration of services to the cloud.

• Providing cybersecurity advice to a broad range of stakeholders.

• Conducting security and quality assurance reviews.

• Completing technical reviews and endorsements of technical solution designs.

Technical skills:

• Experience working as a Security Analyst with demonstrable experience in security monitoring, access control, application patching and hardening and other associated security analyst duties.

• Experience in the application of Australian government security frameworks including ISM, PSPF and the Essential and other industry best practices control in large on premise and cloud environments.

• Supporting and contributing to IRAP preparation activities and ensuring accurate documentation in the management and implementation of IT security strategies.

• Completing technical reviews and endorsements of technical solution designs and identifying opportunities to improve the security posture of the department's network and information.
