Are you a Legal Secretary who thrives on variety, flexibility, and learning new things?

About the role:

An established national law firm is looking for a capable and adaptable Legal Assistant to join their Relief Support team in a full-time capacity.

This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless support across the business.

You'll provide coverage for Legal Assistants on leave, pitch in during peak workloads, and assist with large firm-wide initiatives. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys stepping into different teams, building relationships across the firm, and expanding their skills along the way.

What makes this role unique:

  • Day-to-day variety: Work across multiple practice areas and business functions
  • Gain breadth and insight across the firm's legal and operational teams
  • Build a well-rounded skill set that can lead to future specialisation, or continue enjoying the flexibility of the Relief team
  • Be part of a collaborative support network with access to ongoing training and resources

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Legal Secretarial support across different teams and practice groups
  • Assisting with calendar and email management, coordinating meetings and travel
  • Document production, formatting and amendments
  • Supporting billing and administrative processes
  • Collaborating with shared services and project teams

What we're looking for:

  • Prior secretarial experience in legal or other professional services (legal background is highly regarded but not essential). Minimum 12 months exp.
  • A confident communicator with a team-first attitude
  • Confidence moving between teams and quickly picking up new systems and workflows
  • A team-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and professional communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to changing priorities
  • Law students with a minimum of 2 years left on their degree and who can work full-time will be considered.

Circa $70,000 – $95,000 inclusive of super, based on experience
