Suncare Domestic Assistant - what's involved in the role?

We are currently seeking Permanent Part-Time Domestic Assistants to provide in home support to our customers in Noosa and surrounding region. Work is typically performed between Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm, and the roster you are provided is dependent on your availability.

Current Part Time contracts available are for 40 or 50 hours per fortnight. We invite you to share your availability and hours you would prefer to work. An example of a roster is Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm (50 hours per fortnight)

There may also be the opportunity to gain additional hours depending on your availability and operational requirements.

The role of a Suncare Domestic Assistant actively supports the individual needs of our aged customers who are living at home, either independently or with family. Examples of your duties could include assisting with cleaning the bathroom and toilet, vacuuming and mopping of floors, wiping kitchen surfaces and laundry duties, meal preparation, bed making and ironing and unassisted shopping.

About you

We want our customers to have a great experience with our people, and our people need to have a great attitude, be friendly, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants. You will ideally have demonstrated experience in cleaning. You will also have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

For this position, you will be required to be physically fit, hold a valid Driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), CPR and First Aid certificates are required in this position.
