Mechanic Offsider

$30 – $45 per hour based on experience/knowledge

Dickies Tree Service is a well-established, family-owned tree care provider based in Malaga. For more than three decades, we've delivered high-quality tree services across the Perth metro area, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and equipment maintenance.

In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our experienced mechanic to carry out general vehicle and equipment maintenance, assist with yard tasks, and support our tree crews on-site.

• Assist mechanics with the inspection, servicing, and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and parts for repair jobs
• Perform basic maintenance (fluid checks, oil changes, filter replacements)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Record and report vehicle issues or parts required
• Assist with stock control and parts management
• Support on-site operations when needed: chipper maintenance, mulch deliveries, raking, site clean-up, and more
• Follow all health and safety procedures

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (Cert II/III in Automotive Servicing or pre-apprenticeship preferred but not essential)
• Physically fit and willing to do manual labour
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• A team player who takes initiative and follows instructions
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
• White Card – preferred but not essential
