About The Role

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the site by delivering a high standard of cleaning support. Your responsibilities will contribute to the efficient and effective daily operations, ensuring all tasks are carried out to a high standard as outlined by your supervisor and in line with the approved school cleaning program.

We Currently Have Two Permanent Positions Available

• One full-time permanent role
• One part-time permanent role, working 56 hours per fortnight (0.74 FTE)
  
  

These positions operate on a split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the first week of school holidays, cleaning shifts will transition to straight shifts, offering a consistent and structured work pattern.

Your Responsibilities

As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, staff rooms, offices, and communal areas
• Dust and polish surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Refill soap, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies
• Deep clean specific areas during school holiday cleans or as needed
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Report any repairs or hazards to the Site Manager
• Secure the premises after cleaning e.g. locking doors, windows, checking lights and air conditioners are turned off and turning on alarms
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling of chemicals
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good time management and reliability
• Physical ability to carry out the job e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods
• Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training may be provided
