2025 has been a big year with Extension Hill, our flagship magnetite mine, ramping up operations in the Mid-West region of Western Australia.

The remarkable achievements at this project have now sparked an increase in our operational demands, with the project now to recruit a Laboratory Technician to carry out sample testing in our new lab facilities on site.

About The Position

Working an 8&6 roster and reporting to the Senior Chemist, you will play a critical role in preparing samples for analysis and ensuring the data is managed and maintained in accordance with company requirements.

Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to:

  • Sample collection from the crushing plant
  • Assist with workplace inspections
  • Preparing samples by crushing and milling and analysing samples by TGA and XRF
  • Report all test results in a timely manner
  • Perform set work in a safer manner as per Terra Mining procedures
  • Assist with ongoing QAQC as directed by the Senior Chemist

What You Will Bring

  • Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician working within mining projects
  • Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
