Overview

Experienced Fitters and Electricians for Underground and surface roles – TBP Services has recently been awarded contracts in underground mining, open cut mining, manufacturing and energy industries and is looking to fulfil roles in the following areas: Fitters, Electricians, Boiler makers, and Riggers.

TBP Services is a local company operating in Southern coalfields, Western Coalfields, Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven and Wollongong region since 2015. The company is recruiting for multiple roles locally and offers the opportunity to work on long-term projects in the Illawarra region. Successful applicants may be rewarded with a high remuneration package, the option to be offered a full-time position, and the option to work Weekday or weekend rosters.

Responsibilities
  • Longwall Fitters, Longwall Electricians to perform Longwall relocations in the district at various mines over the next 2 years.
  • Fixed plant Fitters and Electricians with commercial and industrial experience.
  • Mechanical and electrical trades for development, diesel, outbye and coal clearance roles.
  • Operate Longwall associated plant and equipment to assist with Longwall relocation.
  • Contribute to maintenance and servicing across multiple fields and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year underground experience
  • Current Order 43 medical or willingness to attend medical
  • Current NSW mines rescue generic induction and current CABA certification or willingness to obtain
  • Fitters: Hydraulics I & II, Dogging, Diesel Engine Systems training (DES) – have or willing to obtain
  • Electricians: Electrical contractors licence, Current First Aid Certificate, EEHA for underground coal candidates
  • Plant Mechanics: Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade, experience on CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi
  • Boilermakers: Trade certificate, White Card, ability to read and fabricate/weld to drawings
  • Riggers: High risk work licence (HRWL) Intermediate or Advanced, White Card, experience on industrial sites with mobile/gantry cranes
  • Desirable: ability to work at heights, EWP (HRWL), prior authorisations and RPL evidence
