The Role

NOVA Entertainment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced creative to join our in-house podcasts team in Sydney as Managing Producer.

Reporting to the Network Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of multiple shows, managing a team of podcast producers and working on the development of new original content.

What you will be doing and what skills you may have

In summary:

  • A creative audio content specialist, someone who has exceptional people management skills, an ability to work across multiple podcast projects and timelines and a proven track record of managing the production of high-quality audio content.
  • Youll have experience working with talent, managing and mentoring podcast producers, coming up with creative ideas and seeing projects through from ideation to launch.
  • You should have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, a desire for constant improvement and be a team player.
To be successful in this role you will have
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in audio and content as well as experience managing creative teams
  • Strong mentoring skills and the ability to lead a team of producers in a motivating and inspiring way
  • Strong creative, content and ideation skills and ab ability to develop compelling ideas for both editorial and commercial content
  • Excellent at giving feedback and constructive criticism
  • Finely tuned editorial lens, an ear/eye for audio/video creative and experience making editorial and creative decisions
  • Strong relationship management experience with talent and managers
  • Understanding of legal restrictions around content (eg. Copyright, intellectual property, etc)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects including budgets and timelines with multiple stakeholders involved
  • Strong understanding of best practice podcast promotion across social, PR and marketing
  • Experience incorporating commercial content into podcasts from creative ideation through to delivering final assets for clients
  • Ability to manage and coordinate staffing (internal, external freelancers, agencies) and effectively produce high quality content (podcasts, videos, photoshoots, etc)
  • A positive attitude, can do attitude with a desire to help others in the team succeed

This is a part-time, 3 day on-site position located in our Sydney studios.
