The Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong leadership skills to shape and deliver world-class user experiences in our AI-powered healthcare products. You'll be comfortable across the stack, with a focus on crafting elegant, intuitive, and performant interfaces. You combine technical depth with a product mindset — thinking not only about how features are built, but why they matter and how they best serve our users.

What you'll do:

• Lead development of foundational systems: Design and develop key systems such as authentication across Heidi's platforms; collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to enable other teams and the product roadmap.
• Champion quality & maintainability: Design simple, maintainable systems to solve complex problems, author tests, optimise performance, and create fault-tolerant systems so teams can move fast without compromising quality.
• Continuously improve: Provide technical leadership and mentorship, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with the AI enablement team to improve speed and safety of releases.

What we will look for:

• 5+ years experience on complex, high-scale, or highly integrated services; proficient in frontend (TypeScript, React) and backend (Python or TypeScript); experience with REST/GraphQL, domain-driven design, relational and NoSQL datastores.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work in a cross-functional team and coordinate releases.
• Cloud proficiency (GCP or AWS): containers, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security best practices.
• A track record of architecting and building highly available, scalable, secure, and performant systems.
• A product mindset — focus on solving real user problems and measuring impact.
• Bonus: Experience with authentication and identity platforms, with understanding of security across APIs, web, and mobile.
