GHD Graduate Program 2025/26 - Graduate Geotechnical Engineer

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career. Alongside your peers, managers and mentors, we'll help you detangle challenges along the way.

What you'll experience
  • Throughout the program you'll gain a broad view of the career pathways available at GHD, helping you understand where your strengths and interests fit.
  • You'll have the chance to work in design teams to help deliver exciting projects, contribute to bids and tenders, and gain hands-on with occasional site work.
  • In Year 1, you'll focus on the fundamentals of consulting to help you find your rhythm in the industry.
  • In Year 2, you'll have flexibility to shape your development, either deepening technical skills or learning from mentors.

Your journey to joining GHD

Here's what to expect, step by step:

  • Screening: We review applications as they come in, with the bulk after applications close.
  • Video interviews: Record answers to a few questions to demonstrate your communication style and interest in GHD.
  • Meet the team: Face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team and behavioural questions.
  • Psychometric assessments: Quick tests to understand how you like to work and your strengths.
  • Offer: If successful, we'll discuss salary, start date, and background checks.

Start dates and opportunities
