Overview

We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic and driven Quality Control Officer who is interested in manufacturing quality assurance and the potential for long term employment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good record keeping skills and a desire to learn and develop with a reputable National company. Full training and support will be provided with a QA Manager being assigned as the candidate's mentor.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory measurements for all products in accordance with the quality plan
  • Perform visual inspections of products on the production floor to ensure compliance with standards
  • Be familiar with company quality policy, product safety & quality objectives, quality procedures and work instructions
  • Conduct incoming material inspections in accordance with the inspection plan
  • Review and monitoring of production paperwork to ensure compliance to the quality management system
  • Maintain document control of quality management procedures and associated documents (achieve, update and issue quality documents as directed)
  • Coordinate action on customer complaints after discussion with Process Operators and Production Manager
  • Conduct in-house product inspection & testing
  • Ensure all HACCP Plan verification activities are complete. Coordination of equipment calibration as per quality manual
  • Participate in the company's environmental monitoring program
  • Review and file incoming goods documentation
  • Monitoring operational GMP compliance
  • To communicate and promote Food Safety Culture in the organisation
  • Other duties as directed
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control role
  • Tertiary qualifications fit for verifying QC tasks and records
  • Knowledge and experience in QC tasks relevant to the role
Details
  • Location: Dandenong
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 2.00pm – 10.00pm
  • Salary: 36.08 per hour inclusive of casual loading - plus 15% afternoon shift loading
  • Industry: Food Packaging Manufacturing (FMCG) experience essential
  • Commencing ASAP
