Industrial Electrician – Permanent Role | Kooragang Island

Are you a safety-focused, technically skilled electrician looking for a long-term opportunity in a dynamic industrial environment? We're seeking a motivated Industrial Electrician to join a well-established site on Kooragang Island. This is a permanent role offering stability, growth, and the chance to take ownership of modern electrical infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform general electrical duties across workshop and production areas
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial systems including:
  • Material handling systems (conveyors, elevators)
  • PLCs, SCADA, and automated production equipment
  • Motors, VSDs, soft starters, and load cell transducers
  • Operate HV switchgear and interpret electrical schematics
  • Scope work, liaise with suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance tasks
What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • NSW Electrical Supervisor License
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Safety-first mindset and ability to lead by example
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and planning skills

Highly Desirable:

  • HV Operator Certificate
  • PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley RS Logix)
  • SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Instrumentation experience
  • HRWL Boom Type EWP, Work at Heights, First Aid, LVR/CPR
