Senior Associate - Construction, Infrastructure & Projects

The Work

You will advise developers, contractors, and government entities on front-end construction and infrastructure matters, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating complex construction, project, and commercial agreements
  • Advising on procurement methods
  • Supporting infrastructure delivery in sectors like aged care, education, residential, utilities, and sports
  • Claims management, tender documentation, and contract strategy
  • Client engagement and practice growth initiatives
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and fostering a high-performance team environment

About You

You are a technically skilled, commercially aware lawyer with 5-7+ years PAE in construction, infrastructure, or major projects. You are confident managing matters independently but eager to learn and develop. You enjoy client-facing responsibilities and aim to build a distinguished career in the field.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in drafting and negotiating front-end project contracts
  • Ability to navigate complex legal and commercial frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including contractors and government
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, and interest in practice development
