Workday Integrations Principal Consultant

The Principal Consultant will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.
  • Drives, organizes and assigns tasks within a project workstream to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals.
  • Guides the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and the client's unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
  • Regularly engages and supports the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
  • Performs multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, project team and Engagement Manager informed of changes or progress.
  • Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
  • Demonstrates hands-on expertise with the software, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
  • Utilizes technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.
  • Acts as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
  • Participates in update training and internal opportunities to share skills and learnings with others within the organization.
Skills & Requirements
  • Ideally 3-5 years of consulting experience
  • Workday Integration, Workday Studio and Workday CCTPTM certification preferred
  • Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on ERP implementation projects using SOA tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency with web service technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc)
  • B.A./B.S. in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, computer science or related field preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with diverse people at various levels
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and analytical abilities
  • Outstanding Excel skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing ecosystem with minimal supervision
