About the role
As the Store Manager, you'll lead your passionate and committed team to create a customer-driven culture in-store and work together to achieve goals along the way. Be in charge of all store operations to ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently. Mentor and develop your team to achieve success and inspire them to grow their journey with General Pants.
Key outcomes include driving results, reviewing sales and stock sell-through, analyzing what has impacted store performance, and developing future actions with the Regional Manager. You will coach others to translate reports into tangible actions and hold yourself and the team accountable for their results. You will mentor and coach the team to grow, celebrate strengths, and address gaps with honesty, generosity, and empowerment. You will manage workload, workflow, time management and delivery through strong accountability and goal setting. You will lead and inspire the team to be proud of their contribution to the wider business strategy and prioritise team wellbeing and mental health.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a store team to create a customer-driven culture in-store
- Oversee all store operations to ensure smooth and efficient running
- Mentor and develop team members to achieve success and growth
- Drive outcomes through appropriate skills, reflection, and actionable steps
- Review sales and stock sell-through reports, analyze drivers of performance, and collaborate with Regional Manager on future actions
- Translate reports into actionable targets and ensure accountability for results
- Coach the team to grow, addressing gaps with honesty and empowerment
- Manage workload, processes, time management and delivery with clear goals
- Inspire the team to contribute to the wider business strategy and take pride in their work
- Prioritise team wellbeing and mental health
- At least 2 years of management experience in a retail environment
- A genuine love and understanding for fashion and our brands
- Ability to confidently lead, motivate and engage your team
- Proven experience in coaching and developing teams and individuals
- Proven track record of driving and exceeding sales targets and budgets
- Strong knowledge of retail operations including budgets, wages, rostering, visual merchandising, stock management, shrinkage, etc.
