Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Sonographers to join our dynamic team at Fiona Stanley Hospital in the Medical Imaging department. Recent graduates and those currently completing qualifications prior to 31/07/2026 are encouraged to apply for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
  • Interpret radiological requests and carry out appropriate procedures in accordance with the Radiation Safety Act, other relevant legislation, hospital or departmental policies, and supervisor's instructions.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine. SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services across a catchment area of more than 3300 square kilometres in southern Perth.

Eligibility and selection
  • To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
  • This vacancy is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
  • WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process.
