Your Role:
Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves to keep things running smoothly? As a Maintenance Officer at BaptistCare, you'll be the go-to person for all things maintenance, ensuring our facilities are top-notch and our clients are happy. You'll work under limited supervision, tackling a variety of tasks that keep our site in tip-top shape.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  1. Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparks.
  2. Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
  3. Maintain asset acquisition and disposals in Maintenance Connection.
  4. Manage site vehicles and loading dock areas.
  5. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management.
  6. Purchase and order equipment in accordance with organizational policies.
  7. Report and manage resident and staff complaints regarding maintenance services.
  8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and contractors.
  9. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Minimum of 12 months experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systems.
  2. Hands-on property maintenance experience.
  3. Understanding of operational budget processes.
  4. Experience managing property-related contractors.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  6. Valid driver's license.
  7. Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to undertake) - desirable.
  8. Experience in an Aged Care or Health Care environment.
  9. A genuine alignment to BaptistCare's vision, purpose and values.
