Overview

The Housekeeping team at Essence Suites Taringa are looking for Room Attendants to join their team.

The Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, your role as Housekeeping Attendant is to provide passionate, friendly, and professional service to all hotel guests and visitors whilst servicing and cleaning all allocated guest rooms, ensuring all tasks are completed at or above the required standard and within the set timeframes.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors, linen room/pantries according to procedure and checklists
  • Comply with guest privacy and security procedures
  • Responsible for the master floor keys that you sign in and out each shift and ensure they remain secure throughout your shift and returned at the end of shift
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and training as assigned by management
  • Manage guest complaints immediately if possible or escalate where necessary to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Understand and ensure the safe usage and storage of cleaning/chemical agents in line with health and safety regulations
To be successful
  • Can demonstrate minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role
  • Ability to use computer tablets and mobile phones for housekeeping tasks
  • Good oral and written proficiency in English language
  • Can multi-task, and work well in high pressure situations
  • You will be well presented and always professionally groomed
  • Hold valid working rights in Australia
  • Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
