Youth Support Coordinator – Windaroo Valley State High School

Windaroo Valley State High School is seeking a passionate and proactive Youth Support Coordinator to join our dedicated wellbeing team. In this role, you will work closely with students in Years 10–12 to support their engagement, wellbeing, and successful transition into further education, training, or employment.

This position is offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.6 FTE), 43.5 hours per fortnight.

Overview

Windaroo Valley State High School is a dynamic co-educational school on the northern Gold Coast. We offer a supportive and inclusive learning environment with strong academic and vocational pathways. Students can extend themselves through excellence programs in areas such as Science and Innovation, Music, Japanese, Touch Football, and Athletics. Our Valley View Trade Training Centre provides real-world hospitality experience. Windaroo Valley is a place where students are supported to succeed and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Identify barriers to young people achieving outcomes and refer to appropriate support services.
  • Maintain records of student contact on a daily basis.
  • Support students to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes.
  • Develop and monitor post-program support as required to meet program performance criteria.
  • Develop and foster relationships between the school and families of students to assist at‑risk students to remain engaged with education or training.
