Plumbing Inspector x2

Plumbing Inspector x2 role at Fraser Coast Regional Council. This position is located in Hervey Bay and offers both permanent full-time and temporary full-time options (temporary until 30 September 2026). The role focuses on administering and enforcing statutory requirements related to plumbing and drainage installations within the building industry and on building strong relationships with the community and business owners.

Stream A Level 5 remuneration: $93,401 (full-time equivalent) or $49.55 per hour plus superannuation. A 9-day fortnight arrangement is available.

• Assess and issue compliance permits for plumbing and drainage work to ensure compliance with Acts, Regulations and Council policy within legislated time frames.
• Provide accurate and timely information and advice to owners, contractors, consultants, and tradespeople.
• Independently inspect works in progress for compliance with the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
• Investigate and report on illegal plumbing and drainage matters.

• Current Queensland Plumbers and Drainer Licence
• Construction Induction Training (White Card)
• Current driver's licence

• A recognised on-site sewerage design and maintenance qualification
• Service and maintain backflow prevention devices licence endorsement
• Experience evaluating and planning installation of solar and heat pump water systems
• Testing, commissioning and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves
