What We're Looking For

You're probably one of two people:

• The Independent Operator: You've been running your own penetration testing practice. You're good at what you do, your clients trust you, but the business side is wearing thin. Invoicing, marketing, constant pipeline management—it's taking time away from the work you actually enjoy. You want the security of a team without losing the client relationships you've built.
• The Corporate Refugee: You're leading a pentest team at a big firm, managing client relationships and delivery, but you're tired of being a small cog in a massive machine. You want more autonomy, direct client access, and the ability to actually influence how things get done. You're ready to be a bigger fish in a smaller, more agile pond.

Either way, you bring something we can't recruit for: established client relationships and the commercial acumen that comes from owning outcomes.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-4 years of pentesting or offensive security consulting experience.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Advanced expertise in cybersecurity industry knowledge is essential for engaging with CISOs, security managers, and business leads.

Your Role at Vectra

This isn't a traditional consultant role. You'll own client relationships end-to-end—from initial conversations through project delivery and ongoing advisory work. Think of it as the best parts of running your own practice, without the overhead.

You'll work directly with clients you know and trust, while having the backing of our CREST-accredited team. When you need deep technical expertise in specific areas, you've got senior specialists at your disposal. When you want to focus purely on technical delivery, you can. When a client needs strategic guidance, that's your wheelhouse too.

Remote-first across the east coast and SA. No commute, no corporate theatre. Just direct access to clients and a team that backs your decisions.

This remote position is available Australia-wide to suitable candidates.

Work directly with our technical team to ensure quality delivery. Help shape our service offerings based on what you're seeing in the market. Own the commercial relationship without getting bogged down in administrative overhead.
