The Allied Health Professional – Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) plays a crucial role within the designated region, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health care. The Role:
The Allied Health Professional – Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) plays a crucial role within the designated region, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health care. This includes collaboration with Community Mental Health Services, Inpatient Mental Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services, and other key community service providers. The role is essential in ensuring improved outcomes for individuals experiencing mental health crises, particularly those presenting at the Emergency Department (ED) North.
By conducting thorough assessments and providing timely interventions, the Allied Health Professional contributes to a seamless continuum of care that supports individuals in crisis, helping to stabilize their conditions and facilitate access to ongoing support services. This position demands a compassionate, clinically skilled, and highly collaborative professional to navigate complex situations and work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
You will need:
- Extensive experience, and professional knowledge in a relevant allied health discipline across the acute, community and/or residential settings at a senior level.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication skills, collegial support, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional leadership and support to professional and nonprofessional staff, with demonstrated ability to lead, and work, as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual position workingas and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar casual vacancies.
Salary:Allied Health Professional Level 3
$110,425 to $119,290 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Casual- $55.66 to $60.13 per hour + 25% Casual loading may be applicable.
- Salary range is in accordance withAllied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association
Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
