Overview

We are seeking casual Grade 1 or 2 Occupational Therapists who are keen to apply their skills and knowledge in our acute or rehabilitation settings at our Werribee campus. There are opportunities to work weekdays, with flexibility for half or full day shifts to meet both your needs and ours.

About You

As an outstanding Occupational Therapist, you will have experience that makes you a great fit, including:

  • Rehabilitation and/or acute hospital experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Sound assessment and therapy provision skills
  • Equipment prescription
  • Ability to work within a fast paced multidisciplinary team
  • Great time management
Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy intervention across the clinical stream
  • Timely delivery of team goals and quality improvement projects, including annual delivery of at least one quality improvement project
  • Clinical liaison with the multidisciplinary team, nurse unit managers, and medical teams
  • Supervision of Allied Health Assistant, as per department needs
  • Assisting senior staff with student supervision, as per department needs
  • Actively participate in person-centred care improvements and uphold service excellence

Requirements
  • Criminal history check
  • Working with Children check
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Immunisation requirements per SVHA policy (including flu and other vaccines as applicable)
  • Ability to comply with SVHA Immunisation Policy and Work Health and Safety requirements
