HSEQ Advisor at SRG Global - Brisbane, Queensland

This is a Full-Time Permanent role within the Utilities division, with potential night shifts. The role services projects within the Brisbane CBD and surrounding suburbs, with potential travel to regional areas within Queensland.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards, support ISO and FSC accreditations, and work closely with project teams to drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships across all levels of the business to influence and implement SRG Global safety and quality standards and a culture of zero harm.
  • Assist with the development of key safety and quality activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, alerts, and other safety and quality documentation.
  • Undertake reviews of event reports and assist operations in determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Deliver training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
  • Assist business management with action outcomes from internal and external audits.
  • Undertake accident investigations for accidents, on-the-job injuries, and other HSE related complaints to determine cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in injury management processes and return-to-work coordination.
  • Facilitate internal training programs as required.
The successful applicant will ideally have
  • 2–3 years of experience in an on-site safety role.
  • Exposure to quality and environment controls on site.
  • Experience within the underground utilities space is highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in WHS (minimum).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).
  • Good working knowledge of WHS legislation.
  • Safety management system experience.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge.
