Overview

Kickstart your career as an Apprentice Painter with QBuild, the Queensland Government's dedicated builder. Join our SEQ team as a school-based or full-time apprentice. QBuild works to support local communities and offers opportunities across Queensland in a range of projects, from housing to hospitals and ambulance stations. Upon completing your apprenticeship, you may pursue a wide range of roles within QBuild.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to work and learn with QBuild, the designated builder for the Queensland Government. Skills

Your suitability for the role will be assessed based on the knowledge, skills and capabilities you bring to the role, along with your personal qualities, your potential for development, and your ability to contribute to QBuild. You should be able to:

  • Understand and carry out manual work, technical information and the use of equipment
  • Adhere to safety protocols, follow proper procedures, use protective equipment, and maintain a safe work environment
  • Demonstrate respect for others and carefully plan your work to achieve results
  • Communicate clearly, listen attentively, ask questions, and work collaboratively with others
What We Look For
  • Be 15 years of age at commencement
  • Be eligible to work in Australia (permanent residency)
  • Have completed Year 10 with a pass in Maths and English
  • Be able to transport yourself and your tools to work/training sites (a driver's license is not mandatory)
  • Be willing to obtain a Construction Industry White Card before starting
