Control System Engineer/ Technician

Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia NewyTechPeople Full time

Are you an experienced control systems engineer or technician looking to join a local company making waves in the international market?

Are you ready to get hands-on with cutting-edge industrial control and automation systems?

Your Challenge

You're a problem solver who thrives on variety, someone who's just as comfortable troubleshooting on-site as they are contributing to complex project work.

In this role, you'll work across industries including mining, water, and agriculture, applying your expertise to electrical systems, process control, and integrating IoT and telemetry technologies.

You'll be involved in projects from the ground up, everything from installation and servicing to routine maintenance and system upgrades, giving you the chance to continually build your expertise.

You'll work with cutting-edge technology, including PLCs, SCADA systems, telemetry, and IoT integration.

This role offers a balance of on-site and office-based work, supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team passionate about delivering results and helping each other grow.

Whether you're maintaining field devices or diving into automation design work, every day will offer something new, and every project will help you further your career.

The Business

You'll join an award-winning Australian-owned company celebrated for its innovation in automation and IoT.

They genuinely value their people and believe in empowering them through hands-on project involvement, continuous learning, and real opportunities for growth.

They don't just work hard, they make time for regular team catch-ups, social events, and moments to unwind and have fun together.

About You

You have a solid understanding of Schneider and Rockwell PLC and Scada programming capability, and bonus points if you hold knowledge of older legacy systems.

Your qualifications include an Australian-recognised Electrical License and/or an Engineering Degree.

You have at least two years of hands-on experience working with industrial control systems.

You approach your work with a positive, team-first mindset and a commitment to delivering quality results.
