Overview

Barker Trailers is a family-run manufacturer of high quality truck trailers in Australia since 1974. Located in Maryborough, we employ over 120 workers across 2 sites and are committed to quality, innovative design and safety-first manufacturing using Australian-made steel and products.

Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting specifications and drawings.
  • Laying out and position parts and assemblies in accordance with project specifications.
  • Perform MIG welding, oxy cutting and grinding operations.
  • Position, align, fit and fabricate/weld parts to form complete units.
  • Examining welds to required specifications.
  • Carry out fabrication/welding techniques.
  • Operate fabrication/welding equipment and associated machinery.
We are looking for people who have

  • Experience in MIG welding in the metal fabrication industry.
  • Safety-first attitude.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Team oriented.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Hours of work in Maryborough are: Monday to Thursday 5:45am – 3:00pm and alternating Fridays 5:45am – 12:15pm.

Pay rate will depend on skill set and experience.
