We are looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced Full-Time Chef to work at Moons Fresh Sushi, Wollongong. We are an established and a busy restaurant serving our loyal customers since 2016

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Planning and cooking food items from menu
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and consistency across all dishes
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and place orders as needed
  • Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and well-maintained
  • Ability to consistently follow a fixed menu with high attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in line with regulations
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours

Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Must have 1 year of work experience.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Preferable)

The successful applicant must be experienced in cooking a consistent set menu, focusing on quality, efficiency, and presentation.
