9-month contract – Maternity Leave Coverage (Starting September 2025)

Join Lumi Finance to lead end-to-end design for complex financial products, turning ambiguous challenges into user-centred solutions that drive real business impact. THE ROLE

At Lumi, product design goes beyond pixels. It's about solving real customer problems that drive the business forward. Our designers own the process, partner with product and engineering, and make decisions based on research, data, and strategic thinking. We value autonomy, clarity, and speed, and expect designers to balance creative vision with practical execution.

As a Senior Product Designer covering a maternity leave, you'll take ownership of strategic design initiatives that shape Lumi Finance's products. You'll navigate from discovery to delivery, turning ambiguous challenges into user-centred solutions that deliver business impact.

• Lead end-to-end design for complex financial products, from research and concept to production-ready delivery.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and differentiation points.
• Communicate design decisions and research insights clearly to align and influence cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior designers and maintain design consistency across the team.
• Partner with product managers and data analysts to integrate insights and performance metrics into design decisions.
• Establish scalable design patterns and maintain thorough documentation.
• Challenge assumptions constructively, balancing innovation with business requirements and technical constraints.
• Deliver high-quality design output aligned with product goals.

THIS PERSON IS SOMEONE WITH

You're an experienced product designer who thrives in complex problems and delivers validated solutions in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid product design experience, covering research, discovery, prototyping, and delivery.
• Experience designing financial products such as lending, wealth management, or payments is strongly preferred.
• Mastery of UX processes and strong visual design craft.
• A proven track record in leading design strategy for complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A research and data-driven mindset that informs your design decisions.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
• A collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
• A systems-thinking mindset, creating scalable frameworks and documentation.
• An innovative problem-solving style that balances business priorities, user needs, and technical constraints.
