About the Role

Reporting to the Lead DevOps Engineer, the role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our organisation's IT AI/ML environments.

  • Design and implement predictive models and data automation processes that integrate operational systems and data to provide actionable business intelligence and forecasting capabilities.
  • Assist in determining the analytical needs and skill requirements for the predictive analytics team, contributing to team development and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to data governance and security practices, ensuring that predictive models and analyses adhere to organizational data protection standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated processes for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to support ongoing predictive analytics operations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely in remote locations.
  • Good interpersonal skills shown especially in a professional standard of verbal interaction with people inside and outside of the business.
  • Conduct research on emerging predictive analytics techniques and technologies, iterating on model configurations to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in analytical methodologies and results, ensuring reproducibility of predictive models.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communicating complex analytical concepts and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences within and outside the organization.
  • Define and implement best practices for documenting predictive models, analytical processes, and results, adhering to industry standards and facilitating knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Analyse and communicate potential risks in predictive models and analytical approaches, applying strategies to mitigate these risks and improve model accuracy.

About You
We are seeking a Predictive Analytics Specialist to drive the continued development of De Grey's in-house data warehouse for business intelligence, with particular focus on predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies.

  • 5 years of experience in Data Analytics and Statistics.
  • Strong programming and scripting background (e.g., Python or R).
  • Experience with SQL and database querying.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Experience in Pipeline Automation (e.g., Azure DevOps, Github).
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile frameworks.
