We are looking for a creative, passionate, and motivated individual to join our dynamic Digital Marketing Team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Specialist will coordinate social media and digital content across Petstock Australia's owned channels, aiming to deliver strong and engaging content for our consumers.

This role will focus on social content generation, driving innovation, and ensuring Petstock stays at the forefront of the latest online trends to build and maintain consumer engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of social media trends, exceptional copywriting skills, keen attention to detail, and a proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Success in this role requires the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business. They will preferably have experience managing or mentoring a graduate or assistant level direct report.

  1. Develop and implement social media and influencer strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth across relevant social media platforms.
  2. Create, curate, schedule and test engaging and visually appealing content, including text, images, and short and long-form videos, tailored to each relevant social media platform.
  3. Ensure all content produced follows digital content and brand guidelines.
  4. Manage the Social Media Assistant, delegating tasks and ensure they learn and grow with the business.
  5. Work with CEC to monitor social media channels, and provide appropriate responses to comments, messages and reviews to create meaningful interactions with our audience.
  6. Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, promotions, collaborations and projects alike to drive awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging platforms, changing algorithms and best practices in social media marketing to keep our brands ahead of the competition.
  8. Manage and coordinate the Petstock Group's influencer strategy to amplify our social media reach and leverage their networks to promote our brands.
  9. Use social media budget to amplify organic posts in line with desired goals.
  10. Analyse and report on the performance of organic social media platforms and provide web analytics as required.
  11. Keep up to date with competitor social media accounts and marketing activity.

If you have the below experience, we would love to hear from you

  1. Degree in business/communications or similar.
  2. 3+ years proven experience in a similar role.
  3. Proven track record of successfully creating and implementing social media and influencer strategies.
  4. Experience with social media management, particularly Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  5. Understanding of relevant analytics platforms.
  6. Experience with social media planning, scheduling and reporting tools.
  7. Experience with content capture and editing.
  8. Proven ability to work effectively within a team and cross-functionally.
  9. Strong organisational and project management skills.
  10. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Comprehensive understanding of all pertinent social platforms, including data analytics for strategy and reporting purposes.
  12. Strong creative and visual storytelling.
  13. Strong aptitude for staying up to date with trends on social media platforms and within the industry.
