About the RoleHume now calls for applications for the position of Visual Arts Assistant. This role will be part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term and based at the Freier campus. The role will commence on Monday, 6 October 2025 and will conclude on Friday, 11 September 2026. This position offers 6 weeks paid annual leave and 7 weeks leave without pay.
The purpose of the Visual Arts Assistant is to provide general administrative and hands-on support to teachers facilitating the Arts curriculum activities across the School.
The Visual Arts Assistant will work under the direction of the Subject Coordinator - The Arts (Freier Primary) and the Subject Coordinator – Visual Arts (Freier Secondary). The role will report to the two leadership positions and time allocation between each campus will be timetabled accordingly.
The Visual Arts Assistant has an important part to play in supporting the delivery of the highest quality teaching and learning programs at Hume Anglican Grammar. The role requires strong organization, self-discipline, high standards and a drive to improve practice and efficiencies in the school setting. The position operates in collaboration with peer assistants including Performing Arts Assistant, School Technician, Teacher Assistants, School Assistants and STEM Technicians.
