Disability Support Worker - High Physical Support Needs

Sirv have positions available for experienced Disability Support Workers to provide support to NDIS participants with high physical support needs. The role involves delivering consistent, reliable, and high-quality care in a Specialist Disability Accommodation environment under Supported Independent Living supports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with mobility, hoist transfers, mealtime assistance, showering and peri-wash.
  • Administer and support health care routines as directed by the care plan and allied health professionals recommendations.
  • Implement manual handling and safe work practices in all support activities
  • Facilitate safe participation in community activities and appointments
  • Accurately complete shift documentation and incident reports as required
  • Adhere to NDIS Practice Standards, company policies and procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Demonstrated experience in high physical support, including manual handling and the use of assistive equipment such as hoists.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Current driver's license

  • Detail oriented in report writing, such as shift notes and incident reports.
  • Capacity to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining client dignity
Example Shift Times For This Role
  • 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • 7:00pm to 10:00pm
  • 7:00pm to 6:30am
  • Shift times may vary and other shifts different to this may become available that differ; based on client and service needs.
