Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment used to transport crude oil and intermediate refined products along the Gulf and East Coast, and major river systems, the production and marketing of other specialty chemicals with no known substitutes, and an increasingly integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.
Key Duties:
  1. Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank to safely transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection point or refinery.
  2. Open and close required valves to allow product to flow in or out of the trailer. Climb storage tanks (15' to 30') to gauge the volume of product to prevent overflow.
  3. Test product using on-board oil centrifuge, spinning for 5 minutes. Check and record bottom sediment, water percentage, temperature, and gravity of the product.
  4. Record volume and lease site load/unload activity into a hand-held computer for printing run tickets.
  5. Prepare driver's Daily Report and other necessary paperwork.
  6. Inspect truck, tires, tank, and surrounding area for safety concerns, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order and meets safety standards.
  7. Report the volume of product hauled for accounting, revenue, and payroll purposes.
  8. Actively participate in and promote the company's safety programs.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  1. Must possess a valid Class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
  2. Must pass a pre-employment DOT medical exam and drug/alcohol screenings.
  3. Must have a driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
  4. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  5. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  6. Two or more years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience preferred.
  7. Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) card preferred.
  8. This position is subject to DOT regulations and is considered a Safety Sensitive position, requiring pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
