Overview

Public Relations Account Coordinator role at Burson. You will collaborate with senior team members to support client campaigns, enhance media relations, and contribute to strategic PR initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • Be knowledgeable about your clients, their industries and competitors; stay updated on client trade publications, national/regional news outlets
  • Be a keen learner and know the technicalities behind skilled writing to draw up actionable client communications materials such as status reports, campaign summary reports, general activity reports, etc., under guidance and supervision
  • Be a keen observer and learn how your senior team members service clients through decisive consulting, problem-solving and relationship-building
  • Actively participate in team and client meetings and be comfortable sharing and presenting your views internally and in front of client, if appropriate
  • Learn to use BURSON proprietary tools such as Digital Catalyst Cards and the Creative Catalyst Network
  • Learn about research and measurement methodologies and resources and use them to support the account team in IC programs
  • Monitor media coverage of clients and support the account team on daily administrative tasks
  • Play an active role in coordinating press materials and events such as press kits, releases and press conferences
  • Learn social media trends and support seniors in implementing social media/digital programs
Business Development
  • Listen attentively during client meetings for potential opportunities and suggest ideas to senior team members as they could lead to new business
  • Assist the senior members of the team with research, case studies and other materials for client presentations, new business proposals, pitches and industry award submissions to drive business for BURSON
Teamwork
  • Be an active and enthusiastic team player and proactively assist the senior members of the team to design and implement effective client strategies
  • Be receptive to ideas, opinions and insights from team members and be able to work as a team to support each other
  • Consistently demonstrate integrity and credibility and build trust through inclusive behavior
Financial Management
  • Make supervisors aware of your time so the business can be managed profitably
  • Liaise with third party suppliers like couriers, venues, caterers
  • Support the senior members of the team in billing and invoicing
Agency Responsibilities
  • Use BURSON's intranet and resources; keep your profile updated
  • Help recruit top talent by knowing our capabilities and network
  • Adhere to BURSON's confidentiality and disclosure agreements and code of ethics/conduct
Experience That Contributes To Success
  • 6 months + of experience (or prior internship) in a fast paced, preferably agency environment
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic settings, demonstrating a self-starter attitude and strong organisational skills
  • Highly agile, able to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively
