Overview

Machine Operator - Carole Park role at James Hardie. This role involves operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines, setting up molds and other fixtures, grinding and cutting edges, and ensuring safety and production targets are met.

What the role involves
  • Operate concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines
  • Set up and install molds and other machine fixtures
  • Set grinding and cutting edges
  • Carry out work in a safe manner in accordance with safety procedures
  • Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained
  • Ensure production aligns with the production schedule
  • Ensure product quality meets relevant specifications and perform required process checks
  • Actively participate in improvement projects
  • Manual handling tasks as part of the role
  • Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work
  • Comply with WHS safety practices and procedures
What you will need
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety
  • Ability to use computers for entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Forklift license is preferred but not essential
  • Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening is required
