Kickstart your dental career with a balanced practice experience in both city and rural settings.

We are offering 6 exciting 11-month Graduate Dentist positions, starting at the end of January 2026, based at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM), including a 3-month rural rotation in Ararat (accommodation fully covered).

  • Salary: $79, % Super + Salary Packaging

  • Locations: Carlton (Melbourne CBD) & Ararat (regional Victoria)

Experience you'll gain:

  • Rotations in RDHM and East Grampians Health Service, including:
  • Oral Surgery (RDHM)
  • Work closely with residents, registrars, and consultants
  • Assist in complex surgical cases such as wisdom tooth removal, sinus perforation repair, and management of patients with complex medical histories
  • Practical experience in surgical clinics and day surgery units
  • Primary Care (RDHM): manage trauma cases, attend clinic sessions with paediatric dentists, and observe endodontists in complex cases like crowns and root canals
  • Rural Rotation in Ararat (East Grampians Health Service): work with a rural dental team, manage diverse cases, participate in community programs, and develop independence with support

About you:

  • Recent graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Science, or equivalent
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration (or by January 2026)
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to both urban and regional communities
