In this role, you will provide specialist legal advice to the Commissioner, QBCC's Executive Leadership Team, and staff by researching complex legal issues, reviewing legislation and policies, and recommending appropriate strategies and actions. You will build strong working relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders, such as the QBCC's Digital Services division, to foster a collaborative approach to achieving organisational objectives, while delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. To be considered, candidates must be admitted as a Solicitor or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland, hold a current practising certificate issued by the Queensland Law Society or Queensland Bar Association, and be fully compliant with all CPD requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven ability in conducting complex legal analysis, applying contemporary legal principles, communicating effectively including strong negotiation and mediation skills, working collaboratively to meet performance measures, and delivering high-quality, customer-focused legal services.

This position is based in Brisbane. However, working from a regional QBCC office may be considered under an approved Flexible Work Arrangement. Please note that if based regionally, travel to the Brisbane office may be required. The successful candidate will be required to enter into a Flexible Work Arrangement upon commencement to reflect their nominated office location.
