We currently have an opportunity for a professional and driven Kitchen Hand to join our in-house Catering Team on a full time, permanent basis.

Clayton Utz is a leading Australian law firm. Our in-house Catering Team is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage services to our clients, partners and employees.

Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role which will see you responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of designated kitchen areas and related equipment. Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• The orderly and efficient storage of all supplies and equipment as required. Follow receipt of goods procedure and rotate stock accordingly.
• Provide assistance with basic food preparation as directed by the Chef(s).
• Clean and maintain all designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools including canopy and range hoods, fridges and cool room, grill and deep fry bays.
• Removal of all garbage/recyclables from kitchen area to designated waste area.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and operation of industrial floor cleaning machinery
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with Executive Chef and suppliers
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of mobile kitchen equipment and trestle tables for events
  
  

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in performing a similar role
• Appreciation of the legislation governing food service hygiene
• Sound knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals
• Knife/equipment handling skills
• Good general knowledge of the operation and cleaning of equipment
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure
• Reliable, highly organised and a 'can do' attitude
